Attorney Profile

I am a business, Internet, and intellectual property lawyer. My practice is split between both transactional work and litigation. Prior to law school, I earned a master's degree in computer science, which gives me the background and experience to understand technology, software, and the Internet better than most attorneys, and so my practice focuses on these areas. However, I represent clients in many other industries, including real estate, construction, medicine, service, and consumer products.
I graduated cum laude from Boston University's School of Law, where I received a concentration in Intellectual Property and I was an editor of the Boston University Law Review.
Prior to attending law school, I earned a Masters in Computer Science, a Bachelors in Computer Science, a Bachelors in Mathematics, and a minor in Music from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I first started practicing law at a boutique law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, before I moved back to Los Angeles, California, to start my own firm.
I was raised on the internet, and have always considered myself to be a techie. I was drawn to the legal field after getting my Master's in Computer Science when I saw the way that the law, particularly intellectual property law, was failing to keep track with cutting-edge online technological developments and the way the world used the Internet and other technologies.
I specialize in representing "high-" tech companies like web hosting providers, cyber-lockers, payment processors, webmasters, domain name registrars, tube sites, app developers, and software development companies. However, I am also expert in many different practice areas and take pride in representing the "low-" and “no-” tech world, including commercial landlords, contractors, adult and child day care centers, restaurants and clubs, health care providers, consumer product companies, and other small and medium size businesses. My clients include those that have multiple websites from the top 1,000 websites in the world.
